ArkanSOUL.com is seeking individuals who don't mind giving a little time to assist in managing content and publicizing ArkanSOUL.com.The publishing system is easy to learn and use. If you're comfortable with MS Word, you'd be comfortable using the ArkanSOUL.com website editor system.

How much time do you need to contribute?
It's your time, however much you decide. Got an hour a week, two hours? It can be attributed in some way listed below on an as needed basis. It's your choice.

Web Content Managers and Publicity Producers will research, post, and manage web content and if interested, pitch new. Mostly require writing headlines, blurbs, and arranging short news briefs (mostly information provided by sources), usually a paragraph or two, for community news section. This is not particular a writing contribution...(most information will already be available)....but there is the opportunity to pitch and/or write news and feature stories to be published on the site.

Content Management involves searching for (keeping eyes and ears open) and posting community news, events, and other content to the website, copyediting, proofreading, art/photo requests and selection, fact-checking from time to time, and correspondence with external website contributors when applicable. Other responsibilities can include screening submissions, some promotional tasks for audience development, conducting interviews when applicable, and occasionally attend events.

Publicity Producers:
• Manage Social Media outlets such as Facebook for audience development
• Assist in the maintenance/management of Events Calendar and Directory Listings and other publicity opportunities such as e-newsletters, electronic invitations, etc
• Act as a Point-of-contact by communicating and corresponding with contacts, businesses, etc
• Occasional blurb, teaser writing for site content
• Find other possible marketing opportunities and contact other media outlets for publicity opportunities
• Assist in organizing and promoting special contests and events including processing entries and prizes when applicable • Occasionally attend events

The Plus: All contributors and/or interns will gain website maintenance and publishing experience using the web site's content management tool, which is similar to working in Microsoft Word. Training is provided (don’t worry, it’s easy to learn). Great opportunity for anyone looking to learn online publishing and of course, add to resume skillset.
